Well, here she is. Sometimes words astound me at the depths of trauma these dogs go through. And then continúe. Tomorrow she has an applintment to see Fernando. For checking her reactions, incase there is more damage than what appeara, mass hematoma, and assessing which way theyd rather operate. Plate. Screws or fixators. Noone wants a bleed and anemia for her. Recovery Will be hard enough. Being a lengthy surgery and having had an emergancy come in, shes been maintained on pain medication and Will spend the night ready for surgery tomorrow. Its for sure a nasty fracture. It was a long surgery for Cholet, and her surgeons. Cholet has needed 2 plates, where the fracture is classed as chronic ( not fresh, but this can mean a week or more) Bones been removed to create health, and and the particles of bone from the fracture now gone. Cholet remains at the specialist tonight, she has whats called here a medicine bomb, ( not sure in English the term) but this is where a cocktail of pain meds filter through the night to keep her as confortable and pain free as possible. Tomorrow I Will know more and she Will be home. Poor sweet child. Just how they have to struggle and suffer is beyond me before rescue and help. Lights on, candles Burn bright for Cholet tonight. Update: 06/02/2025 Fernando has just called and Cholet passed the night reasonably well. I go to collect her at 4pm. 🩷 There she is.... A Brave Brave soldier. Cholet you Will win this Battle.
